The content of the four-week pregnancy course is more extensive than the two-week pregnancy course and the 1-day pregnancy course.
We have more time to reflect on pregnancy, birth and the maternity period. You get to know your fellow students and it is nice to spend 4 evenings preparing for the arrival of your baby together with your partner.
The content of the 1-day and the 2-week pregnancy course is the same, only the form differs. The material is split up during the 2 week pregnancy course, so that there is time between lessons to let everything that has been learned sink in and to ask questions during the 2nd evening course.
The 1-day pregnancy course and the 2 week pregnancy course have as many elements as possible of the four week pregnancy course so that this too is a complete preparation. In addition, there is ample course material with which you can continue at home after the course.
With the Four Week Pregnancy Course you will continue to keep in touch with your fellow students, even after the birth. This will not be the case with the 1-day pregnancy course. The atmosphere will be very pleasant on this day, so if you do want to exchange contact details, you can always do that!
No, that’s not it. MOM & CO has developed its own course, more appropriate to this time and the Dutch system. The course is written by midwives with a lot of experience. Elements of hypnobirthing are used but much more is added so that it has become a very down to earth and super practical course.
The best time to start our 4 week pregnancy course is especially when you are ready to start preparing. This will be between 27 and 33 weeks for most people. If this is a little earlier or a little later, that’s no problem. If you have completed the course around 37 weeks that is good. The later you start, the more likely you are to miss a class because the baby wants to come. The normal period to give birth is between 37 and 42 weeks. If you decide to participate later, it is at your own risk.
Yes! Almost every insurer reimburses (partially) our pregnancy course, usually with supplementary insurance. For questions about reimbursement, it is best to contact your insurer directly. Mom & co’s midwives are BIG registered and have an AGB code. We are affiliated with 1 association: Beroepscoörperatie Childbirth Educators. We are not affiliated with any other associations. After the last lesson you can receive an invoice / proof of participation that contains all the information necessary for reimbursement.
You will receive an invoice when you register for the course and have paid. After the last course lesson you can submit this invoice to your insurance company. If you do this before that date, your insurer will not reimburse it. The responsibility for this rests with you.
If you miss a class you will receive a handout of the presentation. We also have explanations of all subjects in the course in the form of video material, which you will also receive. So you can actually follow the lesson digitally at home. At the next lesson, questions will be discussed 1 on 1 with the teacher before or after the lesson. If there are many questions, we will make a telephone appointment to go through the material.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to make up a lesson at another time.
That’s no problem. You can come alone or bring a friend. Your partner can explain everything about the missed lesson afterwards. If desired, you will receive a handout of the presentation so that nothing has to be missed.
Yes that is possible. Sometimes a couple drops out and a spot becomes available for people on the reserve list. If you wish, please contact us via the contact form.
If there are no dates online yet, please be patient, we will continue without a holiday. You can always send an email so that we can put you on the mailing list and you will receive a message from us as soon as the dates are known.
YES! Correct! We think it is very important that you follow the entire course together. The course is especially informative for partners.
That is possible, we recommend that you bring a friend with you, for example. The course is written for pregnant women with a partner, it does not have to be your love partner. Coming alone is a bit more uncomfortable.
Contact us and we’ll see how it works for you! We like to think along with you.
Should you be unable to attend the course for reasons beyond your control, you are to inform Mom & co immediately. For cancellations up to four weeks before the course starts, an administration fee of € 25 will be charged. This will be deducted from the course fee paid. The remaining amount will be returned. From four weeks to three weeks before the course starts, 50% of the course fee is returned. After that, the full course fee is paid for and cannot be returned. Full refund of the course fee is only possible in case of the following exceptions:
If you give birth prematurely (before 37 weeks) before the start of the first course day.
When you cannot participate in the course for medical reasons concerning you and cannot follow the online pregnancy course as an alternative. (a doctor’s or midwife’s statement is obligatory).
When another course participant takes up your place before the start of a full course (so this can sometimes only be clear just before the start of the course).
